FOUNDER - AASRAA
Divya Jyot Singh Grewal
Ever since Divyajyot was a child, he was very passionate about making a difference, it all started when he was a kid, he celebrated his birthdays in orphanages. Seeing this and growing up with the attitude of always giving back to society, made him realize how he can make a change in society by making small contributions. During the difficult times of the 2020 pandemic, he devoted himself to providing and empowering communities. With a vision for change and a heart full of compassion, Divyajyot came up with the plan to start an NGO dedicated to providing for those in need and empowering them to be self- sustained. His goal was and is to bring hope, warmth, and dignity to every individual.

Shamal Grewal
Mrs. Shamal Grewal, co-founder of the Aasraa Adroit Foundation, is dedicated to offering educational support to underprivileged children, believing education is crucial for a brighter future. Alongside Mr. Divyajyot Singh Grewal, she founded the organization to provide aid and create opportunities for empowerment. In addition to her impactful work at Aasraa, Mrs. Grewal serves as the director of Adroit Structural Engineers Pvt Ltd, where her leadership shines brightly.Moreover, as a trustee at Surabhi Lions ' Blind Girls School, she ensures that visually impaired girls receive a quality education and access to entrepreneurial opportunities. Mrs. Grewal' s passion for positive change drives her to uplift communities and provide individuals with the tools needed to thrive.

OUR PROJECTS
लहर ( LEHER )
In 2020, AASRAA collaborated with INAMDAR FOUNDATION to conduct menstrual hygiene drives, aiming to raise awareness among rural women. Through these workshops, they educated women on the importance of menstrual hygiene, its benefits, and proper sanitary pad use.
अन्नदा (ANNDA)
During the second lockdown, under project Annda, AASRAA provided 100 nutritious food packets every weekend to support slum communities struggling with job loss and hunger. The project aimed to nourish the community while ensuring their health and safety.
बस्ता (BASTA)
In August 2023, AASRAA brought joy and empowerment to Savli Pathshala by gifting vibrant school bags, each representing a student’s house, creating a powerful sense of unity, pride, and belonging that inspires collaboration and fosters a positive school spirit.
मासूम (MASOOM)
Since November 2023, AASRAA and YOUNG INDIA have been organizing seminars in rural primary schools under Project Masoom to educate students about good touch and bad touch. Through doctor-led sessions and interactive activities, the initiative empowers children with the knowledge to protect themselves.
इनसाइट (INSIGHT)
In July 2024, Aasraa Adroit Foundation introduced the 'INSIGHT' project to empower visually impaired girls of Surabhi Lions Blind Girls’ School with vocational training in handicrafts. The girls proudly displayed their handmade bracelets and rakhis at an awareness event hosted at the Cacao Koffee Project, with all proceeds supporting their entrepreneurial journey and highlighting their remarkable talents.
जलसेवा (JALSEVA)
In June 2024, AASRAA Adroit Foundation donated two 150-litre water coolers to PM Shri Vakaner Shreshth Group Primary School in memory of S. Darshan Singh Grewal, benefiting over 650 students with access to fresh drinking water, especially during the hot summer months.
ममता (MAMTA)
Since 2023, on Mother's Day, AASRAA’s Mamta project distributes carefully curated maternity kits to new mothers at Gotri Medical Hospital. This heart-warming project celebrates motherhood and supports new mothers with essential care.
पात्र (Patra)
In March 2024, Aasraa Adroit Foundation supported Akshaya Patra’s Vadodara ISO- certified kitchen, which serves nutritious meals to 81,367 children, by donating stainless steel containers to support their mission of alleviating hunger and promoting education.
पोहोंच(pohonch)
AASRAA renovated a street school with vibrant colours and interactive learning resources, inspiring children to embrace education with enthusiasm. Through personal touches like colourful handprints of the children and the distribution of educational tools, AASRAA fostered a love for learning and empowered children to take charge of their education.
राहत (Rahat)
During the devastating floods that struck Vadodara in August 2024, numerous slum areas across the city were severely impacted. Under its Project Rahat, Aasraa Adroit Foundation extended support to the affected residents of the Gajrawadi slums in Vadodara by distributing essential food kits which thoughtfully curated.
उत्सव (Utsav)
As part of Project Utsav, Aasraa Adroit Foundation celebrated Diwali by distributing thoughtfully curated food kits to pediatric and TB patients at Gotri Medical Hospital. The initiative aimed to bring joy by gifting them a bag of blessings and warm well wishes, ensuring they felt the spirit of Diwali despite being in the hospital.
वर्म (Varm)
In December 2023, Aasraa Adroit Foundation spread warmth and joy in Parthampura village by distributing 130 sweaters to underprivileged children, offering compassion and ensuring they stayed warm during the chilly winter months.
ज्ञान (Gyaan)
In February 2024, Aasraa Adroit Foundation enriched educational institutions by gifting carefully curated collection of books to students and departmental libraries, enhancing their access to knowledge and supporting both academic growth and a lifelong love for learning.
शिक्षा (Shiksha)
Under Project “Shiksha”, Aasraa Adroit Foundation sponsored over 60+ children’s education for the academic year 2024-25, empowering the underprivileged youth and children with resources and a platform to pursue academics and build brighter futures.
